The St. Petersburg Foundation is the nonprofit philanthropic arm of the St. Petersburg Group, a media and publishing company and consulting firm. The St. Petersburg Foundation was created by business entrepreneurs and nonprofit professionals who share a history of commitment to Pinellas County and a record of innovative partnerships and projects that improve the quality of life of county residents.
As a social impact consultancy, the St. Petersburg Foundation builds capacity at the organizational and community level. We leverage public, private, and philanthropic partnerships and resources for social good, with a bias toward results-oriented deliverables. We support people and organizations in developing the systems, strategies and tools that advance missions and increase effectiveness.
As a new type of philanthropic endeavor, the St. Petersburg Foundation invests in and accelerates innovative, scalable, and sustainable organizations and ideas, creating cycles of success by providing resources and support systems that help nonprofits conquer our community’s biggest challenges.
We partner with private donors, corporations, foundations and municipalities and government entities that are seeking fresh approaches, targeted community strategies, and expert execution. With our for-profit partner, the St. Petersburg Group and the St. Pete Catalyst civic media platform, we build intentional, innovative strategies at the intersection of the public, private and nonprofit sectors.

Time and again, data show that these are the critical challenges facing not only St. Petersburg but communities across the nation. Immeasurable resources are spent analyzing the trends and inputs that drive these issues. And the recommendations to address these challenges are remarkably similar: convene community conversations. Identify national best practices. Seek opportunities to collaborate.
Yet too often these actions do not yield the solutions we need.
