As part of the St. Petersburg Foundation’s mission of building capacity through its operational partnership with Pinellas County at the Lealman Exchange, the St. Petersburg Foundation (SPF) created the Lealman Collective Impact Activation Board. This board typically meets to find ways to collaborate between organizations, nonprofits and businesses to improve the Lealman community, but on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, SPF used the meeting as an opportunity to check in with its community partners and collaborate on the storm response and resource efforts in Lealman and beyond. The goal was to work on identifying needs, filling gaps and finding ways to help provide what the community needs following the devastation caused by Hurricanes Helene and Milton.
