When the level of need in the community skyrocketed after COVID-19 put many St. Petians out of work, the St. Petersburg Foundation stepped in leveraging its Jobs Catalyst program. Through the program, we hired newly unemployed individuals to work with non-profits who lost their supply of volunteers. We placed talent with Feeding Tampa Bay, the Ronald McDonald House, the St. Petersburg Area Economic Development Corporation, the St Pete Chamber and more. This program was a great example of our multi-layered approach to problem solving. We served individuals, non profits and the community with one smart program.
