Part of the St. Petersburg Foundation’s partnership with Pinellas County in operating the Lealman Exchange includes building capacity through community outreach events. SPF partnered with AARP to host a Shred & Fraud Event on Saturday, April 13 at the Lealman Exchange, offering residents a safe way to shred sensitive documents for free. The event also included a fraud lunch & learn, teaching people ways to avoid common scams and protect their personal information. In addition, SPF partnered with St. Petersburg’s Digital Inclusion program to host a Gadgets for Good drive, offering Lealmanites a way to donate their used tech to be repurposed in the community.
