SPF Supports Leadership St. Pete Class of 2021 Project at Westcare Foundation’s Mustard Seed Inn

The St. Petersburg Foundation supported the Leadership St. Pete Class of 2021 Class Project at WestCare Foundation’s Mustard Seed Inn with a gift of $8,200. Located in downtown St. Petersburg, Mustard Seed Inn provides transitional housing, case management, job support and related services to homeless adults who have begun their recovery from alcohol, drug abuse or mental illness. Established more than 20 years ago, the facility helps clients develop the skills to transition to permanent housing within the community.

The Leadership St. Pete Class of 2021 project, which they are calling Seeds of Hope, will support physical enhancements to the Mustard Seed Inn site and civic engagement and inclusion opportunities for residents. Each year, Leadership St. Pete class members give back to the community through a project benefitting a nonprofit that they identify, fundraise for and donate time and labor to. Past years project beneficiaries include Family Services, Inc., Academy Prep and Sailfuture. Leadership St. Pete is a project of the St. Petersburg Chamber of Commerce.
